Friends of Bushey Museum
The Friends of Bushey Museum is one of the largest such
organisations in the UK. It exists to support Bushey Museum
Trust by raising funds for new acquisitions and also providing
a focus for all those interested in the Museum. The Friends
have a varied programme of meetings, events and outings
covering a wide range of cultural interests. Their garden party
in August has become one of Bushey's premier annual events.
Newsletters and a glossy illustrated journal are free to members.

The Herkomer Room describes the life and work of the great Victorian artist and innovator Sir Hubert von Herkomer RA and his School of Art in Bushey.
Costume Case
The case and model were bought by the Friends of Bushey Museum with assistance from the Millennium Festival Awards for All schemeThe Wedding dress is of oyster satin, and was made by Jessie Kipling for her wedding in 1911.
the train is edged in Huguenot silver lace dating from 1740 - a very rare survival (the great majority of such lace was melted down)
