You can print off an Entry form, or get one from the Museum.
There are no entry fees and no restrictions on who can enter. There are three classes: OPEN prints, 'SELFIES WITH A DIFFERENCE' digital images and BUSHEY digital images.
Prints should be mounted on cream mounting board 8x10 ins or 12x16 ins. Mounting boards of these sizes can be bought from Bushey Museum shop on or after 3 May 2018. Prints should be surface mounted on a single thickness of mounting board, with a border of at least 1 inch of mount visible on all sides after mounting. Prints will be hung using self-adhesive Velcro&tm; at each corner of the back of the mount. Please put a title (not 'No title' or 'Untitled'), name, address and telephone number in the centre of the back of each mount, and hand in to Bushey Museum during normal Museum opening hours: 11am to 4pm on Thursdays to Sundays.
'Selfies' images and Bushey images will only be accepted as computer files in JPEG format, on CD or as email attachments. The accompanying email or paper entry form must include the entrant's name and the title of each image with its file name. The image size should not be greater than 1280 x 960 pixels.
Closing date for entries: 17 June 2018. Judging will take place between 18 and 22 June and winners will be notified prior to 29 June when the prizes will be presented. The prize for each class will be a £30 voucher to spend at SRS, Watford. In addition, the best image in any category directly associated with the Bushey environment by a newcomer to this Exhibition will be awarded the Gawan Vesey Challenge Cup
Selected images will be displayed at Bushey Museum during the July and August. Prints can be collected on or after 6 September during normal Museum opening hours - failure to do so by 7 October 2018 will cause the print to be destroyed. Digital images in the Bushey and 'Selfies' classes will be displayed sequentially throughout the exhibition and may remain on display for several months. Bushey images will then be archived in the Museum collection. Copyright remains with the photographer but the organisers reserve the right to use any image submitted for Bushey Museum or Festival purposes.
