The Museum has an active programme of support to local schools in making full use of the valuable educational resource provided by the Museum collections and displays. Under the expert guidance and advice of the Museum's Education Officer, an excellent range of teacher-aids relevant to the National Curriculum has been produced. Education is recognised to be one of the Museum's most important functions.
To book a visit phone the Museum, (020) 8420 4057 between 9am and 5pm on Wednesday to Friday.
NB: At our Activities, photographs of participants may be taken. Parents/guardians should inform us if they wish a child to be excluded.
Other school visits focus on World War 2 and Old and New Toys. All visits are closely in line with the National Curriculum. For Key Stage 1 (5 - 7 year olds) we lead sessions on Old Toys, Old Kitchen items, and on our Art Collection.
Our popular holiday activities provide an opportunity to explore the Museum's art collection through a range of creative experiences. The sessions are led by Marion Gee, Adele Taylor and Monica Law, the Museum's Education Officers.
Please enquire on 020 8420 4057 on a Wednesday, Thursday or Friday 9am-5pm.
