Education Services

The Museum has an active programme of support to local schools in making full use of the valuable educational resource provided by the Museum collections and displays. Under the expert guidance and advice of the Museum's Education Officer, an excellent range of teacher-aids relevant to the National Curriculum has been produced. Education is seen as one of the Museum's most important functions.

School Visits

Our most popular activity for Key Stage 2 pupils (Junior Schools) is undoubtedly our Victorian Experience. Other school visits focus on World War 2 and Old and New. All visits are closely in line with the National Curriculum.
